LRIP-6 thru 8

The following chart is just a sketch to understand F-35 low rate initial production (LRIP) batches 6 thru 8.

Starting with LRIP-6, F-35s get TR-2 hardware. This is needed to run Block 3 software.

How the budget cuts or other problems affect these numbers is yet to be seen. "AF" are foreign A-models. "BF" are foreign B-models. "FMS" are foreign military sales. These are the "lucky" ones that don't get ripped off by those JSF partner nations conned into the "best value" Ponzi scheme.



6 are the minimum number of F-35Bs that need to be built or the production line and supply chain will suffer serious problems.
